Komi Games is a game studio based in Toronto, Canada. We have recently worked on titles such as Psychonauts 2, Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge and King of Fighters XV, and we’ve partnered with SEGA to develop a dynamic character-focused action title.

Komi is currently looking for a skilled 3D Artist to support the creation and ongoing development of visually attractive level environments and assets. Reporting to the Art Director and working closely with all Komi leads and team members, you will diligently factor all artistic, design and engine-related parameters into the creation of exciting and memorable spaces to enhance gameplay.


  • Act upon artistic and creative direction to build, decorate and polish visually exciting environments that support the defined gameplay goals.

  • Create custom assets, materials, and props.

  • Communicate openly and coordinate with other team members to ensure all created assets fit within game design requirements.

  • Collaborate with Komi technical artists and programmers to ensure assets are effectively integrated and optimized.

  • Perform other role-relevant tasks and duties as required.


  • A minimum of three (3) years of game development experience as a 3D Artist, including one (1) shipped game title.

  • Highly skilled and experienced at building levels in Unreal Engine 4 (using modular kits as well as custom-made assets).

  • Highly skilled and experienced at creating 3D assets using relevant software tools (e.g., 3DSMax/Maya/Blender, Photoshop, Zbrush, Substance).

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with a team as well as independently.

  • Enthusiasm and dedication to career development, upskilling and remaining current.

  • Demonstrable communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • A history of consistently meeting deadlines, escalating issues where appropriate and carefully following direction.

  • Previous experience with level lighting is considered an asset.
